Arnold Clark has appointed signage solutions company Astra Group to deliver the signage for its network of ultra-rapid EV charging hubs, dubbed Arnold Clark Charge. Work to design, manufacture, and install units commenced last year and the target completion date is spring/summer 2025.
As part of the six-figure contract, Astra Group will deliver signage for more than 500 ultra-rapid chargers at over 100 EV hubs across the UK. Arnold Clark’s has invested £23m in its charging network initiative.

“Delivering on a rollout of this scale and complexity is no easy feat. The team’s ability to adapt to changes in circumstances throughout the process of delivering high-volume, large-scale structural signage requires expert organisation and an unwavering resolve.
“Astra Group has demonstrated this throughout, working with our civil engineers to ensure a safe and seamless finish to each EV charging hub.”
Astra Group has produced 102 dual-purpose canopies, 25 x 6m branded totems, and 157 signposts.

Astra Group also recently designed, delivered and installed all signage for Arnold Clark’s Innovation Centres in Glasgow and Stafford. It produced illuminated exterior signage, interior signage, graphics and totems.
It also recently delivered all digital and traditional signage for Arnold Clark’s new dealership in Doncaster.
