Steve Bridge, managing director of eStar Truck & Van has announced that he is leaving the business on 31 December 2026 following a mutually agreed transition.

Bridge joined eStar in February 2021, shortly after the business had taken over the former market area partner following a period of significant business challenges.

During the subsequent five years, Bridge executed a turnaround at the company, returning to profit.

Following eStar’s acquisition by Daimler Truck UK in May 2026, the business is now entering the next stage of its development as part of Daimler Truck-owned retail.

From January 2027, Bridge will remain active within the commercial vehicle industry in an independent advisory role, providing strategic and leadership support to businesses and senior leaders across the sector.

Bridge said: “I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together at eStar. With the business now well positioned for its next chapter, this is the right time for me to begin a new one of my own and use my experience in an advisory capacity across the industry.”

A successor will be announced in due course.
