Jigcar, launched in 2024 as a service for dealers, is expanding into the accident repair sector.
The company is working with repair groups to explore the efficiencies its Transport Management Software (TMS) platform can deliver.
Elliott Perks, CEO and Co-Founder of Jigcar, said: “Having achieved significant cost and time savings for many of the UK’s biggest franchised dealer groups and car supermarkets, we believe Jigcar can also help large, multi-site repair groups reduce their vehicle transport costs.
“We’re on a mission to provide these repairers with total visibility of vehicle movements across all their sites. Greater optimisation will make empty transporters, often passing each other on the same roads, a thing of the past.
“By digitising and centralising the management of vehicles undergoing repair, we can address wastage to make every movement count. This will ensure repairers lower their costs by reducing in-house driver downtime, eliminate empty journeys and use third-party transport providers more effectively.
“We see the accident repair sector as a strategically important area for future growth, alongside our expanding presence in the dealer sector.”
Jigcar notes larger accident repairers typically running their own single and multi-car transporters, as well as plated drivers, from individual sites,
By using its logistics optimisation algorithm, built for automotive, to increase resource utilisation, Jigcar anticipates significant cost savings.
Jigcar will reveal details of its first accident repair signing shortly.
