Motorpoint’s Auction4Cars.com has opened a collection unit in Chester
Auction4Cars.com is a business to business only online auction marketplace platform.
The wholesale arm of Motorpoint sold 27, 300 cars in its latest financial year with profit per unit of £387. Turnover was £137.8m for division.
The volume was down 1.8% on the 27,800 cars sold the prior year with an increased proportion of customer acquired vehicles sold through the retail platform.
The platform facilitates hundreds of online car auctions each week, with collection sites in Birmingham, Birtley, Burnley, Castleford, Chingford, Derby, Motherwell, Newport, Peterborough and Sheffield.
All vehicles need to be collected from the site they are listed against, or delivery can be arranged through delivery partner Movex.
John Hood, General Manager at Auction4Cars.com, said: “We’re really excited to be opening a second site in the North West.
“We know convenience matters to dealers, so making collections easier is a focus for us when we look at new locations. Chester is a great spot for us to expand our presence in the North.”
