The Mercedes A-Class has topped the list of most in-demand cars at Carwow’s daily online auctions over the past three months, followed by the Ford Fiesta.
BMW appears twice in the list of top five models attracting the most bids in Q3, with the 3 Series and 1 Series in third and fourth, respectively.
Chris Healy, head of commercial at Carwow, said: “This analysis shows there is strong, sustained demand for used stock across the B, C and D segments.
“Interestingly, though, none of the models in the ranking have electric powertrains and none are from Chinese carmakers, despite recent new car demand being particularly strong in these two areas.
“We expect that situation to change into 2027, with patterns of used demand continuing to evolve.”
The Volkswagen Golf came in at number five and the Toyota Yaris narrowly missed a top five ranking, rising from fourteenth in Q3 2025 to sixth in Q3 2026.
There was strong dealer interest for the Yaris, with each listing receiving an average of 7.3 bids per listing, compared to the 4.1 average observed across the other models in the top five.
