The Arnold Clark Group will offer an innovative health screening programme to employees.

The programme will give employees over two years’ service free access to an advanced and comprehensive health screening, in partnership with diagnostics company EDX Medical Group.

Russell Borrie, CEO of Arnold Clark Group, said: “At Arnold Clark, we care about the wellbeing of our employees and this is just one of a number of opportunities we provide to help them take care of their physical and mental health.  We believe that there will be a lot of interest and enthusiasm for this programme and we are wholeheartedly encouraging employees to take advantage of this programme.

“Arnold Clark Group was one of the first companies to host prostate cancer testing sessions for male employees earlier this year as part of the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative, which is being delivered by EDX Medical.

“We were delighted with the professionalism of that service and that gave us every confidence to work with EDX Medical again to broaden our offer of health and wellbeing screening for our employees.”

EDX Medical will provide a service that includes the deployment of its proprietary biomarker testing panels which have been developed to cover more than 220 disease conditions.

It can determine risk and detect early signs of cancer, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders as well as many others. The service also includes extensive general health checks.

Employee participation is voluntary and involves the provision of simple blood samples to the EDX Medical team which will undertake testing sessions from October this year.

Test results are confidential to the individual employee and will not be shared with the Company.

Results will be computed along with employee physical health and family history questionnaires for accuracy.
