JCT600 has opened new Volkswagen and Škoda dealerships in Doncaster.

The two dealerships are now fully operational, marking the latest expansion of JCT600’s long-standing presence in the city.

The development has created over 50 jobs, with further roles planned as the dealerships grow.

The opening comes as JCT600 celebrates its 80th anniversary. The business was founded in Bradford in 1946, and the family-owned group has had a long-standing presence in Doncaster through its Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Approved Used operations, with Chinese automotive brand Changan also recently joining its portfolio in the city.

John Tordoff, executive chairman of JCT600, said: “Officially opening our new Volkswagen and Škoda dealerships in Doncaster is an important milestone for JCT600 and a fitting way to mark our 80th year in business.

“We’ve been part of the Doncaster community for many years and this latest investment reflects our confidence in the city and our commitment to continuing to develop our presence here.

“Bringing Volkswagen and Škoda into new, permanent facilities gives our customers even greater choice, while also creating new career opportunities in the local automotive sector.

“It’s particularly pleasing to see such a positive response from customers since the dealerships opened, and we’re looking forward to building on that in the years ahead.”

The new dealerships add to JCT600’s growing retail network, which represents more than 20 automotive brands across more than 50 locations in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and the North East and employs more than 2,000 people.

The group continues to invest in its retail network, developing and refurbishing sites to meet changing customer expectations and support its manufacturer partners.
