Peter Swales has joined Chery UK as operations manager.
He has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry and will support the growth of Chery in the UK.
In a post on LinkedIn, Swales said: “Having now completed my first week, I can honestly say it has exceeded my expectations. I’ve received such a warm welcome from everyone, and it’s clear there is a genuine passion, ambition and commitment to building something special.
“A sincere thank you to Gary (Wei-Lun) Lan, Farrell Hsu and Max Li for the opportunity and your confidence in me, and for the fantastic support and warm welcome during my first week. I’m excited to contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.
“Over the coming months, I’ll be spending time across the retailer network, meeting our retailer partners, listening, learning and supporting operational excellence as we continue to grow together. I look forward to working with colleagues and retailer partners across the UK, building strong relationships and supporting the continued success of the network.”
Chery offers a line-up of SUVs in the UK, featuring the Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7, and Tiggo 8.
The vehicles come with a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty.
