Searches for EVs on Cazoo doubled year-on-year (YoY) in July and increased 14% for hybrids.
However, these alternative fuelled vehicles only represented 17.8% of cars listed by dealers, according to Cazoo Market View analysis.
EVs accounted for 6.9% of listings, compared to 6.5% in June and 6.5% last July. While hybrids dipped month-on-month (MoM) from 11.2% to 10.9%, on a par with last year.
Petrol and diesel cars continued to dominate stock mixes at 51.5% and 30.7% respectively, with only small changes MoM and YoY.
Prices for EVs and hybrids in July reached parity at £24,250 and £24,259 respectively.
Lucy Tugby, chief marketing officer of Cazoo, said: “Used EV and hybrid consideration continues to grow, as witnessed by the increased volume of ad views we are tracking, however buyer interest is outpacing supply despite dealers maintaining robust overall stock levels in July.”
The average price of a used car on Cazoo dipped by 0.4% in July to £17,397.
Prices have now softened for the third month in a row, tracking at 0.7% below where they were 12 months ago.
Apart from April, average prices have now dipped every month this year.
