Kia’s EV2 Long Range is the brand’s latest model eligible for the maximum Band 1 Government Electric Car Grant (ECG), reducing the vehicle’s OTR price by £3,750 with the entry level version now priced from just £24,245.
This new grant applies to EV2 variants equipped with the 61.0kWh Long Range battery, which includes the ‘Air’, ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ grades. These variants offer an all-electric driving range of up to 275 miles on a single charge.
Alongside the EV2 Long Range variants, the EV2 ‘First Edition’ continues to qualify for the Government Electric Car Grant, receiving a £1,500 reduction in its OTR price.
Introduced as a highly specified launch edition of Kia’s newest compact electric SUV, the EV2 ‘First Edition’ remains available from £26,995 on-the-road with the grant applies.
The Kia EV2, EV3, EV4 and PV5 Passenger are all available with the ECG discount, with selected grades qualifying for either the maximum Band 1 £3,750 or Band 2 £1,500 grant.
Kia will have introduced 15 EV models and 10 HEV models by 2030. The manufacturer is committed to manufacturing sites being powered by 100% renewable energy by 2040.
