Keyloop has become a founding partner of the new UK arm of Empowering Auto, a Canadian nonprofit organisation that supports the role of women across the industry.

The auto retail software company will be supporting the UK launch event for Empowering Auto, held at Octopus Central in London on 12 May.

Jacqui Barker, VP global engagement at Keyloop, said: “This launch marks the first in several planned events across the UK that will drive inclusion and help more women build a career in automotive, from early recruitment through to executive leadership.

“Having seen the support and sense of community offered by Empowering Auto for women in automotive in Canada, being a founding partner aligns with Keyloop’s commitment to champion women across the technology and automotive sectors.”

Alongside a networking session, the event will host a panel discussion entitled ‘Progress Over Perfection’, where global leaders will share real stories of growth, risk and impact.

Participants will include Amy Fleming (president & CEO at Mazda Canada), Yolanda Biswah (president at Canadian Black Book), Fiona Howarth (founder at Octopus Electric Vehicles), and Julia Muir (founder at Auto30Club).

Aryan Habib, co-founder of Empowering Auto, said: “We are thrilled to extend our passion beyond Canada and officially take root in the UK.

“A special acknowledgment goes to Jacqui; when she joined us in 2023, she had a clear vision of expanding our movement to the UK, and it is truly rewarding to watch that vision become a reality this year.”

Secure a place at the UK launch event for Empowering Auto from 5pm on 12 May.
