Changan Automobiles holds its first UK dealer council meeting

Changan Automobiles has held its first dealer council meeting outlining its strategy for the year ahead in sales and aftersales.

Posting on LinkedIn, Grant Richards, UK sales director at Changan Automobiles, said: “Great to have had our first dealer council last week.

“It is hugely important to us that we started the council engagement early in our launch, to ensure we can work collaboratively with our investors to build the business in the UK.”

Changan posted: “We hosted our first Dealer Council Meeting in the UK, where the team presented their strategies, ideas, and vision for developing the Changan brand alongside our dealer network.

“The session brought together key leaders to share insights, align on priorities, and collaborate on the road ahead.

“Senior leaders across the dealer network came together to discuss progress, growth, and co-operation.”

The meeting took in brand positioning, strategy, sponsorship, brand awareness. It also included a focus on the Deepal S07 and upcoming Deepal S05 go-to-market plans.

Other topics covered included business strategy and development across product quality, parts, training, and customer satisfaction.

Simon Balback, brand director at DM Keith, commented: “A really enjoyable first dealer meeting, reinforcing the great signs of a strong working ‘together’ relationship.”

Changan has built up a network of around 40 dealerships in the UK and this is set to expand further in 2026. Currently it has two models on sale, the Deepal SO5 and SO7.
