Eden Motor Group is now representing Mazda in Newbury having bought relevant Motorlux assets from owner Richard Shepherd.

As part of this transition the Mazda franchise has transferred to Eden’s established Vauxhall site.

All existing roles at the site have been safeguarded, with every team member offered the opportunity to continue their career with Eden.

Eden Motor Group operates 20 sites across the South and South West, representing six major automotive brands.

Within the Thames Valley alone, Eden now has seven locations, reinforcing its long-term investment in the region.

Newbury will become Eden’s fourth Mazda dealership, joining existing Mazda locations in Basingstoke, Reading, and Taunton.

Eden’s commitment to outstanding service is reflected in customer feedback at Eden Newbury.

In 2025, the site received 222 Google reviews with an average rating of 4.8 stars, highlighting the team’s dedication to exceptional customer experiences.

Graeme Potts, CEO of Eden Motor Group, said: “We’re delighted to be introducing Mazda to Newbury at such an important moment for the brand.

“Most importantly, this move secures local employment, retains experienced teams, and reinforces our ongoing investment in the Thames Valley. We’d also like to thank Motorlux for their professionalism and support in facilitating a smooth transition.”
