Jason Allbutt is returning to Mercedes-Benz Cars UK as sales director, effective 1 February 2026.
He rejoins Mercedes-Benz Cars UK from smart UK Automotive, where he had been CEO since February 2024. The CEO slot at smart has been filled by Louise O’Sullivan
Albutt began his career at Mercedes-Benz Cars UK as a graduate in 1995. He has since held senior management positions in the finance, sales, product and planning areas of the business.
In his last role at Mercedes-Benz Cars UK, head of product, planning and smart, to which he was appointed in October 2020, Allbutt was part of the team responsible for the implementation of the agency sales model in January 2023.
“Jason has considerable experience and a clear understanding of the Mercedes-Benz UK business and our sales network under the agency model, which he helped introduce.
I am very much looking forward to working closely with Jason, alongside our network partners, to further strengthen our UK sales success,” said Olivier Reppert, CEO and MD Mercedes-Benz UK.
