Electric cars now represent the “best-value buys” on the used‑car market, according to new data from CarGurus.

Its analysis reveals the models that saw the biggest price drops throughout 2025 and electric vehicles dominate the list.

The MG5 tops the rankings after its average list price fell by 26% over the past 12 months to £10,549.

It is joined by no fewer than seven other electric cars including the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Jaguar I-Pace.

The CarGurus analysis focused on cars up to 10 years old with up to 100,000 miles recorded.

To qualify, there needed to be a minimum of 100 active listings on CarGurus.co.uk at both of the included time periods.

In the category of used cars up to 10 years old, eight of the top 10 were EVs, while nearly a third of the models listed were Jaguars, with the XF, I-Pace and E-Pace all appearing. Year-over-year price decreases for these 10 models ranged from -26% to -21%.
