Arnold Clark Charge is billing itself as the largest ultra-rapid EV charging network in Scotland.

Launched in 2024 as part of a £30m investment by the dealer group, the network now has more than 50 ultra-rapid charging hubs at Arnold Clark branches across the country, all open to the public.

Each hub offers up to 12 ultra-rapid chargers and delivering speeds of up to 150kW.

The group is expanding into key, unspecified locations across the UK to support both long-distance EV travel and local communities.

Drivers benefit from ultra-rapid charging available at 55p/kWh which it said was significantly lower than the UK average of 76p/kWh.

Payments can be made through the Arnold Clark app, roaming partners or via contactless at all charging hubs.

Arnold Clark Charge was recognised in the Zapmap 2025 Awards, receiving the title of ‘Up-and-Coming Rapid/Ultra-rapid EV Charging Network’.

In Zapmap’s annual survey of 4,000 UK EV drivers, the network earned high ratings across all five key metrics, including the highest score of any network for customer support. Zapmap also praised its competitive pricing, reliability and ease of use.

Pablo Levi, group sustainability manager at Arnold Clark, said: “With Arnold Clark Charge, our aim is to give drivers quick, reliable and affordable charging wherever they travel.

“Becoming Scotland’s largest ultra-rapid network in such a short time is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of and we’re only just getting started.

“We’ll continue expanding into key locations and listening to customer feedback to deliver the best possible charging experience.”
