Arnold Clark employees raised more than £1 million for charities across Scotland through the Kiltwalk.

A special event was held on 21 November at the Arnold Clark Legends Lounge next to Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.

Eddie Hawthorne, Main Board Director at Arnold Clark, said: “We are incredibly proud of our employees who have shown such commitment and generosity in supporting causes close to their hearts.

“The Kiltwalk brings communities together, and passing the £1 million mark is a fantastic achievement that highlights the passion and teamwork of our people.”

The event was attended by Arnold Clark employees who have taken part in the Kiltwalk and representatives from some of the charities who have benefitted from fundraising.

Since 2016, nearly 1,000 Arnold Clark employees have taken part in Kiltwalk events across Scotland, raising vital funds for 170 charities.

Russell Borrie, Chief Executive Officer at Arnold Clark, commented: “Every step our employees have taken in the Kiltwalk represents their dedication, not only to the charities they support, but also to the values we hold as a business.

“To raise this sum and support so many different causes is something truly special.”

The Kiltwalk is Scotland’s largest mass participation walking event. Walking thousands of miles collectively and fundraising for many important causes, Arnold Clark raised money for children’s health services, cancer charities, mental health support, and local community projects.

Paul Cooney, Chief Executive Officer at Kiltwalk, added: “Arnold Clark employees have been an incredible force for good for the Kiltwalk.

“To raise over £1 million in less than 10 years is a remarkable achievement, and the charities supported will feel the benefit for years to come.”
