Angela Barrow, formerly the managing director and majority owner of Service Plan trailblazers EMaC, has died.
Angela Barrow enjoyed a varied 35-year career in the automotive industry, where she held senior leadership roles in motor retailing, automotive finance, and consultancy.
It ensured she had a strong empathy for the motor retail industry and was able to understand the needs of motor retailers, manufacturers, suppliers, regulators, and most importantly, the end customers.
The culmination of these experiences saw her appointed to lead EMaC as a new start-up business operating from a portable office with a handful of people in 2004.
She led a management buyout of the business in 2011, which ultimately led to its successful sale to the Innovation Group in 2014.
In building a highly successful business and leading it from the front, Angela Barrow became a role model for women in the motor industry.
Angela Barrow was awarded the Motor Trader Outstanding Achievement Award in 2015 for her significant contributions to the motor retail industry as the former managing director of EMaC. The award recognized her leadership and accomplishments in the sector.
She is survived by her husband, three children and seven grandchildren.
