You Can Get A Discount On A Chevy BrightDrop Van From Costco

  • Costco Auto members can score a healthy discount on a new Chevy BrightDrop van.
  • The electric commercial vehicle is available in two wheelbase versions.
  • Front- and all-wheel drive options are also offered.

The Chevrolet BrightDrop is an electric van built from the ground up by General Motors with a specific purpose: to carry stuff around as easily and as cheaply as possible. It uses some of the same Ultium underpinnings as the flashier GMC Sierra EV and Chevrolet Silverado EV. As for price, it’s cheaper than Rivian’s Commercial Van (RCV).

Now though, you can get the BrightDrop EV even cheaper thanks to Costco of all places. Known for its low gas prices, Costco also runs something called the Auto Program, which sometimes offers car discounts for paying members.

In this case, Costco Auto members can get either $2,750 or $3,000 off the BrightDrop’s purchase price, depending on their membership level. The discounts are valid for both the entry-level BrightDrop 400 and larger BrightDrop 600 models. The promotion runs until the end of May.

The 2025 Chevrolet BrightDrop 400, formerly known as the BrightDrop Zevo 400, starts from $78,625 and can be configured with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The base 14-module battery pack enables a combined driving range of 159 miles. For $2,600 extra, one can opt for all-wheel drive, and there’s a larger, 20-module battery that can only be specced together with the dual-motor setup. With this configuration, the BrightDrop van has an estimated range of 272 miles.

The 400 model is 238.6 inches long and rides on a 153.1-inch wheelbase. It has a maximum payload capacity of 3,580 pounds and a cargo volume of 412.1 cubic feet. The larger 600 model can carry up to 3,180 lbs—less than its smaller brother—and has a cargo volume of 614.7 cu ft. It’s 290 inches long and has a wheelbase of 183.5 inches.

The Chevrolet BrightDrop is manufactured in Canada and, according to the automaker, it may still qualify for a federal tax credit of up to $7,500. A fully loaded BrightDrop 600 with AWD and the big battery retails for $89,225. Factor in the federal tax credit with the maximum discount offered by Costco and you’re looking at $78,725.
