Leapmotor has made its debut in the UK electric vehicle market with the launch of two new models: the T03 small electric vehicle and the C10 midsize SUV.

The T03 is pitched as an affordable offer, with a starting price of £15,995, making it the second cheapest electric car in the UK, surpassed only by the Dacia Spring by a margin of £1,000.

The C10 model presents a more upscale offering, priced at £36,500, this midsize crossover SUV is available in a single specification.

It has a more powerful 215bhp motor, a range of up to 261 miles, and a rapid charging capability, reaching 30 to 80 per cent in approximately 30 minutes.

Leapmotor is being sold through Stellantis dealers. There are currently over 40 sales outlets and this is set to double by year end.

Arnold Clark is representing Leapmotor in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and Aberdeen.

Leapmotor, established less than ten years ago, has established a 51-49 ownership structure in its UK operations in collaboration with Stellantis.

The brand showcased its B10 model, a C-segment SUV competing with vehicles like the Mini Aceman, at the recent Paris Motor Show.

The brand promises features such as a customisable digital cockpit and advanced driver assistance systems.

This entry into the UK market marks a significant expansion for Leapmotor as it seeks to carve out a presence in Europe’s competitive electric vehicle sector.
