Volkswagen will present the show car for its new €20,000 entry-level electric model to the public at the beginning of March. The world premiere of the production model is scheduled for 2027.
VW’s new electric small car lineup includes compact all-electric vehicles. The first new model will be the production version of the ID. 2all show car which will reach dealerships in 2026 at a base price of less than €25,000.
VW will have nine new models by 2027, including the production version of the ID. 2 and the entry-level electric car.
Since the launch of the ID. product family in 2019, VW has sold more than 1.35 million ID. vehicles globally, including around 500,000 ID.3. Last year, VW sold 383,100 all-electric vehicles.
The future electric flagships, the Golf and the T-Roc which are produced in Wolfsburg, currently represent over 500,000 units per year.
