Paul Stapylton has joined Glyn Hopkin Group as group operations director. He previously worked with Marshall Group where he had been for 17 years as franchise director.
He also served at Motorline as a franchise director for Nissan and Hyundai and before that as operations director of Toyota and Lexus and operations director for Volkswagen and Skoda.
On his departure from Marshall, he posted: “As my time at Motorline/Marshall ends this week I reflect on what has been an absolutely fantastic career spanning over 18 years of my life.
“I have met so many great people along the way and had the privilege of working with some great OEMs but all good things end as they say.
“It is with absolute pleasure and thanks to the entire Hyundai team that after a tough 2024 their efforts have been rewarded with finishing 1st within the Hyundai Group Balanced Scorecard league.”
Glyn Hopkin is ranked 37 in the Motor Trader Top 200 Dealer Groups with annual turnover of £520.9m.
Glyn Hopkin Group operates over 35 sites across London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, Buckinghamshire, and Bedfordshire, representing brands including Nissan, MG, Kia, Suzuki, Renault, Dacia, & Alpine. Last year it announced its sale to become an employee ownership trust (EOT).
