Jaecoo held its official launch event at the Fairmont Windsor Park, Egham in Surrey.
Since arriving in the UK, the brand has built a solid network which currently consists of 71 dealer groups.
Victor Zhang, country director of Omoda and Jaecoo, said: “We are using franchised dealerships because we want to have a win-win partnership with retailers.
“For new brands, it is not just about sales. Services are also very crucial and these franchised dealerships are well established in their local regions so the local people have known them for maybe over two or even three generations.
“People know that whenever there is a problem they can go to the dealers and the dealers will help them with repairs. For a new brand, if we just did online or agency it would be different but we want to bring a sense of reliability for the customers.”
Jaecoo has entered the UK market with the JAECOO 7 SHS, with pricing starting from £29,435 OTR.
At the launch event, Jaecoo also revealed former England national rugby union captain Chris Robshaw as its first UK brand ambassador.
He said: “I’m delighted to team up with JAECOO as the UK’s Mr J for 2025 – a year that promises to be very exciting and instrumental in the company’s growth in the UK.
“OMODA&JAECOO’s association with the EPCR is a clear indication of how the automotive and sporting industries can thrive together, and I am delighted to play a part in amplifying that partnership throughout 2025.”
