- The Cadillac Escalade IQL is 4.2 inches longer than the Escalade IQ.
- It has more legroom and headroom for third-row passengers.
- The wheelbase remains unchanged from the Escalade IQ.
This is the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL. As its name suggests, it’s a longer version of the Cadillac Escalade IQ all-electric luxury SUV, but in a rare move from Cadillac, all the extra length went at the rear.
Usually, when an automaker decides to increase the length of a model, the wheelbase is lengthened, which leads to more legroom for second-row passengers. That’s why these longer versions carry the “long-wheelbase” description. However, that hasn’t happened with the Escalade IQL because its 136.2-inch wheelbase is identical to the regular-sized Escalade IQ.
Instead, another 4.2 inches were added at the rear, leading to more legroom and headroom for third-row passengers, as well as more cargo space in the trunk. The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL is 228.5 inches long, while the 94.1-inch width and 76.1-inch height are identical to the Escalade IQ.
Cadillac says that the new Escalade IQL offers over four inches of additional legroom for third-row passengers compared to the Escalade IQ (36.7 in versus 32.3 in), with an additional inch of headroom (38.2 in vs. 37.2 in). The cargo capacity behind the third row has also been increased from 23.6 cubic feet to 24.2 cubic feet. With the third row folded into the floor, the cargo capacity is 75.4 cu ft, up from the Escalade IQ’s 69.1 cu ft. The front trunk, dubbed eTrunk by Cadillac, remains unchanged, with up to 12.2 cu ft of storage capacity.
The powertrain is also unchanged from the Escalade IQ. It’s powered by a dual-motor setup that’s good for a maximum combined output of 750 horsepower in Velocity Mode and 680 hp in Normal Mode. The maximum torque is 785 pound-feet in Velocity Mode, while Normal Mode offers 615 lb-ft. The suspension has air springs and MagneRide adaptive dampers.
It can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in 4.7 seconds and has a maximum towing capacity of 7,500 pounds.

The 24-module, 205-kilowatt-hour battery pack enables a Cadillac-estimated driving range of 460 miles, just like the regular Escalade IQ. The automaker didn’t say how many kilowatts the Escalade IQL can accept from a DC fast charger, but it did mention that it can add up to 116 miles in 10 minutes. By contrast, the Escalade IQ can accept up to 350 kW and add up to 100 miles of range in 10 minutes.
From a 19.2 kW AC source, the Escalade IQL can add roughly 36 miles of range per hour, while a 7.7 kW AC charger can add about 15 miles of range per hour.
The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL comes as standard with a curved pillar-to-pillar 55-inch total diagonal display up front, a 21-speaker AKG audio system, Super Cruise driver assistance technology and vehicle-to-home (V2H) capabilities–but the GM Energy V2H Bundle is required to hook the car up to a house and use it as stationary storage.
