- The 2025 Ford Mustang’s starting price is unchanged from the previous year

The 2025 Ford Mustang costs the same as last year’s model if you opt for the standard 2.3-liter turbo-4, but models with a V-8 come with a higher price tag.
The 2025 Mustang starts at $33,515 for the base Mustang EcoBoost equipped with the 2.3-liter turbo-4, unchanged from the 2024 model year when the current-generation Mustang debuted. Also unchanged are the EcoBoost’s 315 hp and standard 10-speed automatic transmission.

Opting for the Mustang GT with its 5.0-liter V-8 will cost at least $47,155, a $2,700 increase over 2024. The GT retains its 480 hp rating and offers a choice between a 10-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Mustang Dark Horse starts at $64,975 for 2025, compared to $62,230 for the 2024 model—a difference of $2,745. The Dark Horse features the same 5.0-liter V-8 as the GT but with an output increased to 500 hp, and buyers here can also choose between a 10-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission. The Dark Horse also includes updated aerodynamics, track-focused suspension, and a new bronze wheel option for 2025.
All prices include a $1,595 destination charge.
2025 Ford Mustang GTD Carbon Series with Performance pack
The 2025 model year introduces the limited-production Mustang GTD, available by application only. While pricing hasn’t been finalized, Ford estimates a starting price of around $325,000. The GTD incorporates upgrades inspired by Ford’s Mustang GT3 race car while remaining street-legal. It features a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 producing 815 hp. Ford recently announced the GTD lapped Germany’s Nürburgring racetrack in a time of 6:57.685, making it the first production car from an American brand to clock in under seven minutes. Ford expects even faster times and plans another attempt in 2025.
As the Mustang was just redesigned for 2024, the 2025 model features minimal updates. New options include factory-installed paint protection film for the convertible, available in gloss or matte finishes. This film, previously introduced for the coupe, resists strong detergents, road salt, bird droppings, bug splatter, asphalt residue, and even minor scratches, according to Ford.
Ford also offers a 60th Anniversary Package for the 2025 Mustang GT Premium. Limited to 1,965 units, the package includes unique badges, 20-inch wheels, side graphics, a special grille reminiscent of the original Mustang’s design, and a numbered dash plaque. It is likely already sold out.
2025 Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Package
A new color option, Intense Lime Yellow, brings the total number of paint choices to 10. However, the color is unavailable for the Mustang Dark Horse or with the 60th Anniversary Package.
Additionally, all 2025 Mustangs will feature the dark headlight surrounds previously included in the Mustang GT’s Nite Pony package.
Ford’s build-and-price tool for the 2025 Mustang is live on its website and will be updated with additional options on Dec. 12, the automaker said.
