Tesla is expanding its UK footprint, opening a new centre in Wolverhampton.

This 71,000 Sq. ft location will offer customers the opportunity to service and purchase new and Certified Pre-Owned Tesla cars from a single location.

While sales and services facilities are already open for customers. Tesla said it is planning to install 12 new Supercharging bays in 2024. It is also adding body repair services to the business. Tesla now has over 40 centres across the UK.

The company has faced headwinds in recent months, share price dropped by 45% since the end of December on the back of a series of negative news stories and announcements.

Tesla saw its sales volumes fall 9% in the three months to end March to 386,810 vehicles as competition in EVs grew and demand slowed.  Despite the decline it reclaimed its position as the biggest supplier of electric vehicles, ahead of BYD.
