Swansway has opened its third BYD dealership, as well as its latest used car supermarket Motor Match, in Stoke.
The BYD Stoke and Motor Match Stoke retailers are located on Victoria Road, Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 3JE, in the previously empty site.
David Smyth, Swansway Motor Group Director, said: “We are delighted to be taking over a commercial property in Stoke which has been vacant for over 12 months and putting it to good use.
“In addition to our Stoke Audi dealership, we are pleased to be increasing customer choice in the area.
“Our partnership with BYD has started positively and this shows through the opening of BYD Stoke, as for adding another Motor Match site to our portfolio, we are confident that within the area, we’ll now have something for everyone.”
Swansway already represents the brand in Chester and Crewe where there were more BYD sales in the first three months of 2025 compared to the whole of 2024.
The group’s decision to partner on a third site with BYD comes from the popularity that EVs are receiving in the UK.
Entering the marketing in early 2023 with the Atto 3, BYD has since expanded to include 4 more models, the Dolphin, Seal, Seal U DM-i and the all-new Sealion 7.
BYD has plans to establish a UK retail network of 120 dealerships by the end of 2025.
