The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) has warned that 11,000 technicians have yet to complete their MoT assessment with time fast running out.
The IMI says those technicians that need to complete the assessment must act now, or risk suspension from testing and potential loss of income.
The flexible IMI e-Learning packages have been designed to ensure testers can meet the deadline quickly and conveniently, offering 3-hour e-Learning modules that can be completed in bite-size sessions.
It enables an assessment to be taken twice, giving technicians two opportunities to achieve the 80% DVSA pass rate.
The IMI’s digital MOT Useful Resources page aims to make the process easily manageable, including redeeming codes, printing certificates and uploading assessments onto the MOT Testing Service website – https://tide.theimi.org.uk/learn/mot-useful-resources.
Upon completing the IMI MOT Training and Assessment, testers can opt-in for free IMI membership.
This grants them access to the IMI community, where they can explore new resources, stay updated with relevant learning materials, and benefit from helpful tips and tools to support their ongoing development.
