Holdcroft said the move represented an “important step” in its future, as it looks to bring more premium-quality products and services at affordable prices to its customers.

Holdcroft will officially launch Omoda in May, retailing from their Northwich dealership.

“This exciting brand has so much to offer the UK market and our Northwich premises are a great central location to showcase it.”

Holdcroft is the latest group to take on Omoda, joining Endeavour Automotive, Listers, Peter Vardy and Listers in the line-up.

The first model to come to the UK is the OMODA 5, a mid-size SUV, powered by a 1.6-litre TGDI petrol engine that offers 187bhp and 275Nm with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The all-electric-version of the OMODA 5 comes with a 61kWh battery with a 204bhp front-mounted electric motor, 280 miles of range and a recharging capacity of 110kW. It is capable of a 0-62mph sprint in 7.8 seconds.
