Greenhous Group will represent OMODA at its Featherbed Lane site in Shrewsbury in the Spring this year.

Last year, a subsidiary of China’s largest car maker, Chery, OMODA launched across 15 markets globally.

Ashley Passant, MD of Greenhous Group Car and Van Operations, said: “We’re delighted to announce our partnership with OMODA and to be at the forefront of this exciting brand entering the UK market.

“For Greenhous, this is an opportunity to offer something new to our retail and fleet customers – with both electric and petrol powertrains – and it is something we’re excited to be a part of.”

The first model available will be the OMODA 5 SUV, both petrol and electric. The SUV includes features such as smart-phone integration, voice commands, a touch screen, remote start, and keyless entry. All OMODA 5 models include a seven-year/100,000-mile warranty.

Shrewsbury is also home to Greenhous Shrewsbury Used Cars and Vans and Greenhous Nissan. The Group is one of the first dealers in the UK to represent the Chinese car maker, joining Arnold Clark who now represents the brand in Linwood, west of Glasgow.
