Eastern Western Motor Group will open a Chery showroom in Straiton, Edinburgh.
Images of the first two display cars, a Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8, were recently posted on the LinkedIn page.
A LinkedIn update from the Straiton branch read: “We have been busy preparing for our opening, gaining access to the relevant systems, training staff, ordering cars and parts, speaking to our partners to ensure we meet all the relevant requirements and standards.”
Chery is represented by top dealer groups in the UK. The brand has plans to expand to 100 dealerships within one year of its UK launch.
At the brand’s launch event, Chery UK CEO Gary Lan said: “The UK is one of the most scaled, mature and important markets in the world.
“It is so incredibly important to ensure that our products, our network, and our service in the UK can meet customers needs and wants.
“For Chery vehicles we will start with a network of 25 dealerships and we will quickly expand to 100 within one year, ensuring national coverage.”
