A-T or Ataxia Telangiectasia is a rare, genetic degenerative childhood disease and Action for A-T is the leading charitable funder of A-T medical research in the UK.

Craig Purvey, BCA CCO, said: “The success of our annual Cycle Challenge and Marathon Walk epitomises our values brilliantly – highlighting the teamwork between colleagues and working together with customers and suppliers across the industry to deliver a winning result.

“Thanks to the support of all the generous donors, this 2025 event once again raised a substantial sum of money that will make a real difference to children living with this debilitating childhood disease.”

The Cycle Challenge is an annual event staged by BCA and this year raised over £60,000.  Cyclists – who were all individually sponsored – toured the Oxfordshire countryside to raise money for the charity, with each rider covering between 80-100 miles during the event.

The Marathon Walk, also staged in the same area on 18t September raised a further £40,000 for Action For A-T.

To date, the annual sponsored cycle and marathon walk event staged by BCA has raised around £940,000 for the charity.

Sean Kelly, Chief Executive, Action for A-T said: “We’re delighted to continue to have the support of BCA and their colleagues across the Constellation Automotive Group in staging this annual fundraising event.

“An incredible amount of money has been raised to date, all of which is committed to new research into the rare, genetic condition known as A-T.

“We’re so grateful to everyone who takes part in the Cycle Challenge and Marathon Walk for their ongoing and valued support.”
