Arnold Clark has opened BYD dealerships in Ayr and Newcastle. The new branch will showcase the BYD line-up, including the BYD Atto 3, BYD Dolphin, BYD Seal and new BYD Seal U DM-i.
With the addition of the two sites, Arnold Clark now has seven BYD locations across the UK, with five in Scotland and two in England.
Arnold Clark Group took on the BYD franchise in 2022. Craig Hood, franchise manager at Arnold Clark, said: “We’re extremely excited to open new Arnold Clark BYD sites and be able to offer our customers even more choice when picking their next car.
“BYD has made an immediate impact in the UK market, and our customers have loved their range of models and innovative products.
“We can’t wait to welcome our customers to the new branch so they can experience the exciting cars that BYD has to offer firsthand.”
The BYD Dolphin Surf will arrive in Arnold Clark showrooms later this year. Founded in China in 1995, BYD, also known as ‘Build Your Dreams’, started out as a battery maker and entered the car business in 2003.
It has ranked first in China’s EV sales for six consecutive years, from 2014 to 2019, and it isnow selling in 50 countries and regions worldwide.
